Hiroyuki Yoshino provided the Japanese voice for Tarō Takanashi in the 24-episode anime television series Shirobako, produced by P.A. Works and directed by Tsutomu Mizushima. In Their Own Story

In Shirobako, Yoshino Koyama's character Tarō Takanashi works alongside Aoi Miyamori, Erika Yano, and Tatsuya Ochiai as production assistants at Musashino Animation. After Yutaka Honda leaves Musashino Animation to become a pastry chef, Tarō is promoted to chief production assistant. Daisuke Hiraoka then joins as a new production assistant. Tarō's behavior as an irresponsible and loud individual who is extremely protective of his ego and reputation frequently causes problems, earning him rebukes from his coworkers Aoi and Erika.
