After Yutaka Honda leaves Musashino Animation to become a pastry chef, Tarō is promoted to chief production assistant. Daisuke Hiraoka then joins as a new production assistant. Tarō's behavior as an irresponsible and loud individual who is extremely protective of his ego and reputation frequently causes problems, earning him rebukes from his coworkers Aoi and Erika.
